Linking to specific Promosearch searches from external websites

You may link to specific searches using the following method:

Solution:

WebExpress Sites with Promosearch

If the WebExpress site is using a custom domain the address will be:

http://www.[domain.com]/search/yyyyy
(where yyyyy may be one or more of the search parameters below)

If the WebExpress site is using a generic domain the address will be:

http://www.promoplace.com/xxxxx/search/yyyyy  
(where xxxxx is the User ID and yyyyy may be one or more of the search parameters below)

Note: The rest of your website will load around the search results with the above links.


Custom Websites with Promosearch

When linking directly to the Promosearch search the address will be:

http://www.promoplace.com/ws/ws.dll/StartSrch?UID=xxxxx&yyyyy
(where xxxxx is the User ID and yyyyy may be one or more of the search parameters below)


Search Parameters

The following parameters may be used to define the search criteria (they are not case sensitive):

- Category  (category name or category number)
- Keywords
- Themes
- Colors
- ItemNum  (SAGE Product Code or supplier SAGE ID preceded by "S:"; separate multiple with commas)
- RealItemNum (Supplier's item number; separate multiple with commas)
- LoP  (Low Price dollar amount, do not use dollar signs)
- HiP  (High Price dollar amount, do not use dollar signs)
- Qty  (Quantity needed, do include any any commas, etc.)
- PrcSort  (Sort by Price, value should be "1" or "0"; 1 means to sort by price; no price sorting is assumed if omitted)
- MadeInUSA (1=Limit to products made in USA; 0=No limitation; no limitation if ommitted)
- Union (1=Limit to union shop suppliers; 0=No limitation; no limitation if ommitted)
- EnvFriendly (1=Limit to environmentally friendly products; 0=No limitation; no limitation if ommitted)



Additional Notes:

Any spaces need to be replaced by a + (e.g. "Address Books" would be "Address+Books").

Combine muliple keywords or colors using and/or/not (e.g. red+or+green, black+and+white)

Combine muliple parameters with an ampersand (e.g. keywords=leather&color=black)

To go directly to a product detail page (if only one product will be returned, such as in an item number search), append "&detail=1" to your query.
