Issue:

What devices are supported for scanning on ShowLink v4 and later.

Solution:

ShowLink v4 supports the following devices for scanning:

iOS Devices

- iPhone 3GS or higher
- iPad 1 (scanner only - no camera on device)
- iPad 2 or higher
- iPod Touch – 4th Generation or higher

For all devices, minimum iOS version 4.3.3.


Windows Devices

- Windows XP or higher


Scanners

We currently sell and support three scanners:

- Socket Mobile Wireless Bluetooth Scanner - This scanner works with all iOS devices as well as Windows PCs that have Bluetooth (either natively or with a Bluetooth dongle).

- Honeywell Wireless Scanner - Windows only

- Honeywell Wired Scanner - Windows only


Other Information

An internet connection at the show while scanning is recommended but not required.  If you do not have an internet connection, you will need to setup and configure your show while you do have an internet connection before the show.  Then you can scan during the show without a connection.  Your leads will be saved on the device, and they will get automatically uploaded to the system the next time you connect with ShowLink running.  Note that certain functionality, such as Hot Leads, will not work without an internet connection.
