How to set up stronger spam filtering

Issue:

SAGE uses filters to reduce the amount of spam you receive, see Spam Filter Scoring Methodology.  If you want to setup stronger spam filtering (at the risk of potentially blocking a small amount of legitimate mail) see below.

Solution:

1. Log in to SAGE Webmail at https://www.sagewebmail.com (see Accessing Your email using SAGE webmail)

2. Click Options | Filters

3. On New Filter, under the "If" drop-down box select "X-SPAM-FLAG", in the next drop-down select "equals", in the blank box type "Yes", then next to "move to" select a folder where you would like to move messages marked as spam.  For example the filter might read:  If X-SPAM-FLAG equals Yes move to Junk

4. Click Save at the top to Save your changes.

You should check this folder periodically to make sure no legitimate messages are being marked as spam.
